Family groups in the Salt Lake Christian Church are dedicated to creating connections for our disciples.  Whether you have a family, you are attending college, or are a working professsional, we all desire to make not only a connection to God but also a connection to one another.

Think for a moment…What connections do you have with people that you truly enjoy? Is it at the cafe, it is participating in a sport with friends, hiking or enjoying nature here in Utah, or just spending time with family? Now, what connections do you have that are helping you strengthen your relationship with God and being committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ?   The purpose of our family groups is to establish those relationships which will not only people with whom to connect but to establish relationships that will really count!  Relationships between disipcles of Christ aren’t about temporary issues but truly matter for eternity.

Getting connected with a new church family can be kind of scary! “How will I get to know anyone?” and “Will I be accepted in this place?” These are some of the questions that all of us have at times. Family groups are about creating an environment where everyone is connected so that they can experience the love, support, growth and encouragement that God intended. We believe that it is essential for everyone to participate in a family group. Sunday services are great for collective worship and teaching, but life change happens in family groups. Family groups are where you could make friends for life, the friends that you will "live life together", and help each other pursue your relationships with God. A family group becomes a strong circle of friends that can pray with you, laugh with you, cry with you, grow with you, and hold you accountable to live a life of full devotion to Jesus Christ.

Family groups range between three to fifteen members and typically have some commonality such as families, common interests, or common life situations. Each family group meets twice monthly in area homes, restaurants and businesses. Small groups incorporate worship, fellowship, teaching, discussions and prayer so the members can mature and grow in their walk with Christ.

You are invited to join one of our family groups today!
